French War Memorials – Laruns, Pyrénées-Atlantiques

A large, well-detailed war memorial in Laruns, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. When I visited last year, I seem to remember that the were several large trees nearby, but these have disappeared. The light was such that, even with fill-in flash, the contrast in the photos is rather high.

    Nutting,
You didn’t by chance get any photos of the names on the memorial? I am curious whether the name Jean Cardet is present on the memorial. The shots you have are fantastic. Thanks for sharing these. Hope to make it there some day.

John, I have one photo which peripherally includes some names starting with C, but it’s very unclear and I can’t make out a Cardet. I would contact the Mairie in Laruns. I suspect they would help. Nigel.
